The Logistics Analyst will assist the Supply Chain Operations Management team with analysis and developing opportunities that will result in executable actions to improve efficiencies and reduce cost in the logistics supply chain.  This position will be responsible and accountable for designated and specific activities in transportation and logistics with the Distribution Center (DC); fulfills necessary collaboration between transportation providers, DC operations, Customer Service and Finance/Accounting and provides needed reports and analysis to stakeholders to enable consistent and reliable information for decision making.


  • Transportation:  oversee payment/audit provider, act as liaison for carriers to resolve billing issues, be accountable for approvals and exceptions, become the expert user of the reports and processes; responsible for transportation analysis of rates and routes; perform carrier/lane optimization, collaborate with Distribution Center (DC) and carriers to identify consolidation opportunities, customer on-time and delivery requirements; collaborate with DC on outbound requirements, aid with quotes, capacity planning, and customer requirements; provide analysis to other stakeholders to support fines, quotes, and bids; be the point of contact for transportation matters and address or designate to appropriate stakeholders for resolution, develop a high-level of expertise in transportation contracts, operations, legal aspects, and industry trends and factors that may influence Fiskars or its customers.
  • Customer Transportation Compliance: responsible for monitoring, analyzing and resolving customer non-compliance events; ccountable for tracking events, causal analysis, corrective actions determination and execution; reviews vendor service/deduction reports to either dispute or accept claims; will implement corrective action to reduce/eliminate service or quality issues regarding customer shipments.
  • Distribution Center Logistics: provides the DC receiving team with analysis of inbound activity, constraints and capacity concerns; maintain the monthly reporting in inbound and outbound estimates for capacity planning for the warehouses; collaborate with planners/buyers and DC receiving manager to provider visibility to inbound container shipments, receipt prioritizing and delivery scheduling.
  • Master Data Management: maintains MDM in the Warehouse Management (WM) system related to Freight; includes item level data affecting Freight details, NMFC, Freight Class, Dims, and HTS.Assists DC management with analysis of item life cycle, location consolidation, Min/Max audits, and putaway logic.



  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Logistics
  • 1-2 yrs. in Transportation/Distribution Center environment; experience in consumer goods or 3PL warehouse or transportation department role is desirable
  • Capability working in multi-divisional, matrix-managed business environments; energetic problem solving and opportunity identification; Technology and Business systems ERP, Warehouse Management, Windows, web-applications, system communication, etc.
  • Organizational Skills required:  detailed, analytical, practical; skilled at using various inputs, partial information and circumstances.
  • Tolerates ambiguity; manages time and effort with limited direction.
