The Demand Analyst is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with assigned customers and products.  The Demand Analyst is the integration point between sales and supply teams. This position creates and maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources.  These forecasts prompt inventory purchasing decisions with the objective of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing excess inventory.  This position is also responsible for incoming order management for their accounts to ensure orders can travel through the Fiskars systems as efficiently as possible.  This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Primary responsibilities:
Collaboratively develop and propose forecasts through use of historical sales data as well as market intelligence information such as market trends, POS data and other sources for accurate product forecasts used by planners & sourcing to identify risks and opportunities. Forecast should support company inventory objectives while meeting customer service expectations. Prepare, analyze, and present demand forecasts which support the business plans while clearly identifying and explaining variances to historical performance and prior forecast.
Actively evaluate and analyze data required to support event forecasting process (i.e. promotions and plan-o-grams) to ensure forecast system item information is up-to-date and accurate.
Lead communications through proactively sharing information with Sales, Channel and Supply to ensure internal and external targets, expectations and initiatives are met.
Perform all Order Maintenance, System Maintenance and provide Customer Service for assigned accounts as required (i.e. resolve issues, track purchase orders, product information and pricing).

  • Report and analyze KPI's to on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.  Communicate progress on delivering results to management and key stakeholders.  Understand financial impact of daily activities and propose actions ensure company plans and expectations.
  • Report and manage customer satisfaction and high service levels as required by the customer while maintaining Fiskars company goas and objectives.
  • Execute system data maintenance as required to ensure accurate system parameters which drive the forecast process.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years experience in key aspects of forecasting, demand planning, inventory control, and/or statistical analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills that enable one to clearly understand forecasting patterns or changes and then provide recommendations for future forecasts.
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills with an orientation towards service and sincere willingness to assist others.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of PC and related business applications (ERP systems, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) forecasting systems and other related business equipment.
